Swastikas, death threats and racist abuse have been daubed across a property in Plaistow,
Shalom Yisroel, 47, discovered the anti-Semitic graffiti at his home.
Mr Yisroel, who wears a kippah skull cap and tzizit fringes, says that he has also previously encountered verbal abuse, threats and violence.
Originally from Scotland, he has lived in the area for 20 years.
He said: “I have been kicked to the ground, spat at in the streets and been called a murderer and terrorist.
“I try and keep my head down. I can deal with the stuff on the street but I can’t walk away from my house.
“It’s my comfort zone and they know where I live. I feel like I have become a prisoner in my own home.
“This seems to be a long, drawn out process of anti-Semitism.”
A police spokesman said: “Officers from Newham Community Safety Unit (CSU) are investigating criminal damage at the property.
“There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
“Police take incidents of this nature very seriously and are fully investigating this crime.”
Anyone with information should call the CSU on 020 7275 5889 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
