A fifth teenager has been arrested in relation to the fatal stabbing of Promise Nkenda in Canning Town in February.

The 18-year-old from Forest Gate was arrested on Wednesday and charged with murder. He will appear at Thames Magistrates Court later today.

Lord Promise Nkenda was stabbed in Goldwing Close on February 14 and died at the scene. The 17-year-old was from North Woolwich.

Four males, three aged 17 and one aged 14, who can’t be named for legal reasons, have previously been charged with murder.

They will appear on trial at the Old Bailey on August 13.
