Cookery classes offer Newham residents tips on how to waste less food

Free cookery classes, offering tips on how to waste less food, are being offered to Newham residents.

The workshops entitled Love Food Hate Waste are being put by Recycle for your Community, a local recycling and waste minimization campaign.

The two-hour sessions will offer tricks on how to waste less food at home along with recipe ideas for using up leftovers and fridge favourites.

Every year in the UK we throw away 7.2 million tonnes of food and drink, most of which could have been eaten.

To book a place visit www.recycleforyourcommunity.com or call Sarah Mills on 0208 911 3187.
