A consultation into the redevelopment of a Forest Gate street is set to take place this month.

The proposed redevelopment of 39a-49a Woodgrange Road will see 12 retail units make way for 64 new homes, some of which will be family-sized.

In addition, there would be 1,650sq m of retail floor space and a rejuvenation of the existing shopping areas.

Daniel Harris, of developer London Iron Works, said: “We are passionate about the regeneration of Forest Gate and look forward to working with the local community to deliver the best redevelopment for the area.”

Meetings will take place at Durning Hall, Earlham Grove, Forest Gate between 4pm and 8pm on Monday, March 21 and Tuesday, March 22.

The feedback will then help to shape the formal planning application for the site.

Anyone who is unable to attend the consultations can submit feedback by calling 0800 458 6976 or emailing
