Drama, arts and crafts, food and a fancy dress photo booth were just a few of the spectacles at a community fun day on Sunday.

Richard House Children’s Hospice’s annual festival, Summerfest, welcomed special guests Miss London International 2016 Jameelah B and Cllr Joy Laguda to the Beckton-based charity.

Anna Bates, head of fundraising, said: “It was wonderful to be able to increase awareness of our services within the community and we raised £1,400 towards providing our services free of charge to the children and families we support.”
