HUNDREDS of passengers and staff were evacuated from London City Airport this morning after a fire alert.
Crews from Silvertown fire station were called to the scene just before 9am.
They found it had been a false alarm triggered by an automatic system.
Passengers were allowed to return to the terminal soon after and there were only minor delays to flights.
