All sorts of appley activities took place at Newham City Farm on Sunday in celebration of the annual Apple Day.
Eight-year-old Maiya Krishnan got apple bobbing while Elizabeth Salmon, aged 11, used an apple press to make apple juice at the farm in Stansfeld Road, Beckton,
The day, which also featured baking and making homemade preserves, was also given a Halloween twist with pumpkin carving. Arts and crafts activities also took place, and farm tours and information on bee-keeping were offered.
