Police temporarily cordoned off Latimer Avenue, East Ham


A seven-year-old child was taken to hospital yesterday evening after being hit by a car on a residential street.

Police were called to Latimer Avenue, East Ham, just before 7pm after being notified of a collision between a pedestrian and a car.

The child was treated by paramedics for a bump on the head but was not thought to have life-threatening or life-changing injuries.

The road was closed for a short time. No arrests have been made.
