Traffic is piling up on the A13 after emergency services were called to a car fire near the Beckton roundabout.
Transport for London is warning drivers to expect delays travelling westbound after firefighters were called to a vehicle alight on Newham Way at the junction with Noel Road at 3.52pm.
One fire engine attended the blaze which was extinguished in 15 minutes but the incident means lanes one and two are blocked causing slow traffic.
TfL are advising drivers to use alternate routes.
