Firefighters tackle huge blaze at Canning Town industrial estate

Sixty firefighters are tackling a blaze at an industrial estate in Canning Town.
Eight fire engines are at the scene of the fire in Lanrick Road.
The brigade was called at 12.29pm today with a London Fire Brigade spokesman saying the fire is still ongoing.
An LFB spokesman said: “Crews are working hard at the scene of a fire at an industrial estate in Canning Town. Part of a glass manufacturing workshop is alight.”
He added that 11 999 calls were made about the fire, which is visible from both sides of the River Lea.
Residents and businesses have been advised to keep doors and windows closed with black smoke seen billowing across the A13.
The London Ambulance Service were also on scene, although there are not believed to be any injuries.
A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We were called at 12:34pm today to Lanrick Road, Canning Town to reports of a fire.
“We sent an ambulance crew, a single responder in a car, an incident response officer and dispatched our hazardous area response team.
“We did not treat any patients and have been stood down.”
