A group of first young people from charity Community Links to passed the Duke of Edinburgh bronze award last week.

The organisation, in Barking Road, Canning Town, coached six youngsters to achieve the award which they worked hard for over the past nine months by undertaking a number of tasks including a five-day sailing expedition, voluntary service at Newham City Farm in Beckton, and a variety of new skills such as learning how to be coaches themselves.
