Trains are being diverted to Stratford on the C2C Fenchurch Street Line at the weekend to help Christmas shoppers get direct to east London’s Westfield centre.
Two ‘shopper specials’ from south Essex are running every hour to Stratford instead of West Ham on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Return trains in the afternoon are also being laid on to get shoppers back home.
The ‘shopper specials’ are running again the following weekend, December 22-23, and from the day after Boxing Day until December 30, all diverted trains starting and finishing at Fenchurch Street and also stopping at Limehouse.
