A Stratford development is offering would-be residents a year’s free membership of a car club – a service providing assess to a vehicle without the hassle of owning one - as part of a range of services to tempt buyers.
Other perks at the Stratford Halo include a 24-hour concierge desk, a furniture rental service, and an onsite management service.
A spokeswoman for Genesis Homes, which is part of the Genesis Housing Group that owns or manages properties across London including the new apartment block in Stratford, said: “As an iconic development in a prime location, this development offers a superior specification and amazing services that are not usually associated with shared ownership homes.
“These properties provide a real opportunity for hotel style living at an affordable price.”
The shared-ownership apartments are available to anyone who does not already own a property and is unable to buy a home on the open market. The buyer’s household income must be less than £64,300 for one and two-bedroom apartments and £77,200 for three-bedroom homes. They should also have savings of £3,500 to cover moving and legal costs.
Prices for shared-ownership flats in the development, which is just 500 metres away from the Olympic Park, start at £53,125 for a 25 per cent share of a one-bedroom apartment, based on a full market value of £212,500.
