Commuters on Greater Anglia services through Newham are facing delays and cancellations this evening because of a broken down train.

The train broke down just outside Liverpool Street station blocking access to four platforms.

Trains on the Liverpool Street to Shenfield line face delays and cancellations in both directions as a result.

Tickets are being accepted on buses between Liverpool Street and Romford, as well as on reasonable Tube routes and c2c services.

One of the two coaches has now been moved, and engineers are working to move the second one safely.
