A rapist who has gone to ground.

Mahad Cabdi Hussain disappeared early last month before he could be tried on charges connected with sex attacks against a young woman, writes PAT COUGHTREY, News Editor.

Somalian Hussain, 23, from Upton Park was found guilty in his absence.

Detective Sergeant Gerard Healy from Newham's Sapphire Unit said: "Hussain has been convicted of the rape of a vulnerable female. We would urge anyone with information to urgently contact police so that the courts can impose a suitable sentence for these serious crimes."
