Bikers hit the streets this weekend for the annual toy run as part of the Newham Recorder and Community Links Christmas Toy Appeal.
More than 50 bikers burnt rubber to deliver nearly 300 gifts to Community Links in Barking Road, Canning Town, on December 7 after setting off from High Beach and riding down through the borough.
The leather-clad philanthropists had collected the gifts themselves and donated a further £690 in cash to the appeal.
Organiser John Pryke said: “The response has been terrific this year and everyone has made an extra effort to help ensure that no child referred to the Appeal this year will wake up on Christmas morning to an empty Christmas stocking.”
Kevin Jenkins, Community Links co-founder and senior advisor, said: “A brilliant run and a truly wonderful response from wonderful generous people, we thank them so much for all their efforts.”
