A residents’ association have invited a betting shop representative to speak at a public meeting next week.
Despite protests from the Forest Gate community, Paddy Power recently took over a part of the Duke of Fife in Katherine Road so the Monega Residents Association is holding a meeting to discuss them making a positive contribution to the local area.
Police officers from the Safer Neighbourhoods Team will also be answering questions about burglaries and the murder in Sandringham Road.
The meeting will take place from 7.30pm at St Edmunds Church and Community Centre, Katherine Road, Forest Gate on Tuesday May 21.
Non-members of the Association are asked to pay £1 towards the hire of the hall.
