The event took place on Saturday at Brick Lane Music Hall, in North Woolwich Road, Silvertown, and included a meal, dancing and a show by Vincent Hayes, the hall’s director, and his team.

It combined their Best of British show and their Cockney show and previewed their upcoming anniversary show.

Along with the money from ticket sales, raffle and an auction, an additional £1,341 was pledged in sponsorship for specific projects.

Ambition, Aspire, Achieve is based at Terence Brown Arc in the Park in Canning Town.

It works to provide opportunities to disadvantaged young people in the Newham and east London area.

The charity’s founder Kevin Jenkins called the night “a truly wonderful outcome which will help Ambition, Aspire, Achieve to make a real positive difference and change the lives of our area’s most disadvantaged, vulnerable and at-risk young people over the coming year”.
