Residents of Winsor Park Estate in Beckton got to know their neighbours better at a community day.
The Summer Roadshow brought the community together to conquer the post-Olympic blues with a number of inclusive activities.
These featured penalty shoot outs, and a bouncy castle, while local contractors and energy providers donated gardening supplies and electricity-saving items to give out to residents to make their homes more cheaper to run and more efficient.
The day was organised by Asra Housing Group, the association running the estate in Warwall Road, who were also on hand to talk about service improvements and community safety.
Residents Ilona Barkane painted children’s faces while mehndi, also known as henna tattoos, were decoratively inked on guests by Farjana Moriam.
