A Beckton vet hopes to raise 50,000 for charity by cycling from Lands End to John O’Groats.

Felix Lai, of Companion Care Vets in Claps Gate Lane, is making the 874 mile journey in 2012 for his company’s charity of the year, Dogs for the Disabled.

Felix, who will be cycling in a 17-strong team, said: “Dogs for the Disabled is an amazing charity that really does transform lives so when the opportunity arose for me to get involved I jumped at the chance.

“Whilst I won’t pretend it won’t be a challenge of monumental proportions, the team and I are determined to raise as much money as possible and have lots of fun along the way.”
