A Great British Bake Off contestant’s Christmas-themed cake is to take centre stage at a child cancer charity’s annual celebration.
Antony Amourdoux, the self-styled Bollywood baker from Silvertown, is to raffle the homemade treat at World Child Cancer’s annual Spirit of Christmas celebration.
Mr Amourdoux, a banker, said: “Baking is very special to me. I hope I can use my baking skills to do some good for children with cancer around the world.
“I have been supporting World Child Cancer for a number of years now and am excited to see what the future holds for us starting with the baking a special cake.”
The charity has supported 20,000 children and their families by training healthcare workers in developing countries around the world.
The TV presenter Gary Lineker is another backer.
The event held at Holy Trinity Church in Sloane Sqaure is due to take place tomorrow (December 13).
