Punchdrunk Enrichment will be working with Discover Children’s Story Centre to create an awe-inspiring immersive show for children this winter

The collaboration will transform Discover’s basement into a magical frozen forest in a production called The House Where Winter Lives. Children and their families will explore the wonder of winter in an immersive storytelling adventure.

Two forest dwellers will invite children to join them in a warm and welcoming cottage, as they prepare for winter; but unfortunately they’ve mislaid a very important key. Audiences will be asked to wrap up warm and take a journey through a secret forest to discover the clues to find the missing key.

The House Where Winter Lives will offer an unforgettable experience for the very young. It runs at the Discover Children’s Story Centre, High Street, Stratford from November 29 January 13.

Punchdrunk Enrichment creates unique and extraordinary experiences for children, schools and community groups. Led by Pete Higgin, one of Punchdrunk’s founding members, Enrichment was formed in 2008 to build on the participatory work of the company.

Since then they’ve created work in schools, parks, gardens, markets, theatres, a disused shop and underground tunnels.

Pete Higgin, Enrichment Director at Punchdrunk, said: “Discover is an amazing place for families and young children to be inspired by storytelling. Their dedication to interactive playing and learning fits in perfectly with our work at Punchdrunk Enrichment and we’re extremely excited to be working with them.”
