Mini Michelangelos take note.

At the height of the school holidays, budding artists will be able to scale the UK’s tallest sculpture to get creative.

Between August 8-23, youngsters are invited to the top of the ArcelorMittal Orbit, where a range of daily activities curated by visual artist and art educator Natalie Ryde will be on offer.

The young creatives will be inspired by birds and bats – some of the world’s best flyers – to design flying finger puppets and build kites, before flying at the base of the ArcelorMittal Orbit, with the former Olympic Stadium and the Aquatics Centre providing an epic backdrop.

Activities will take place from 12-4pm each day and are included in the entry price.

Standard ticket prices are £7 for children, £15 for adults, £12 for concessions and £40 for a family ticket, with 20 per cent concession available through advance booking.

Tickets can be booked on 0333 800 8099, online at or from the ticket office at the base of the ArcelorMittal Orbit.
