Artists, performers and other creative minds are wanted for the London Outdoor Arts Festival to entertain the one million tourists expected to flood the capital prior to next summer’s Olympic Games. The festival, produced by the Greater London Authority and supported by Arts Council England, will take place in parks, town centres and outdoor spaces across all 33 London boroughs.

The seven-week programme includes work from visual arts, music and dance performances, film and animation from July 21 to September 9, 2012.

Will Glendinning, director of Allium Opus who will manage the festival, said: “We will be working across the whole of London during the summer of 2012 to bring the arts to everyone’s doorstep for free, which will be nothing short of fantastic.”
