A pedigree cat living at the East London Rugby Club has been missing for more than a week.

Hiro, 9, moved over to the West Ham site, with his owners Alison and Tim Davenport when they became club stewards in December.

The friendly cat went missing on Sunday, February 8, and Alison is appealing to Newham residents for help in finding him.

Alison said: “He is very friendly, not skittish and doesn’t meow unless highly stressed.

“Hiro is popular at the club and match days always end up with the players making a fuss of him in the bar. He has the freedom of the clubhouse. We hope that someone may have seen him and that he turns up soon.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Alison on 07780 185205.
