A grandmother with dementia who went missing from Plaistow has been found.

Amina Hajinoor, who was born in 1933, was found to be missing by her grandson Mohamed at about 8.30am this morning (Monday).

Ms Hajinoor lives in a house opposite Plaistow station with her grandson and family.

“I went into her room at about 8.30am and she wasn’t there,” Mohamed said.

“We spoke to some of the neighbours and they said they saw her wandering up and down the street at about 5am.

“We have no idea where she could have gone.”

Ms Hajinoor has severe dementia and does not speak English very well.

She was found by police on Monday afternon.
