Officers are appealing to the public for help identifying a man after a 20-year-old woman was sexually assaulted on a bus.

The incident took place at 12.30am on Saturday, August 1, as the woman was travelling on a route 257 bus along The Grove towards Stratford.

The suspect is described as a bald white man, around 50 years old. He wore a blue zip-up jacket with a white t-shirt underneath.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police Service’s Roads and Transport Policing Command have released a CCTV image from the bus.
