Two of the country’s biggest acting talents took time away from their busy schedules to host an evening with Richard House in Canary Wharf’s Club Lounge39.
Downtown Abbey star Jim Carter and actress Imelda Staunton, who are both long standing patrons of the Children’s Hospice, hosted the fundraising evening on Tuesday last week.
The Beckton-based charity need to raise £2million each year from donations to provide their free services.
Jim said: “Not many people really know what a children’s hospice is or the reality of living with a child who has a life limiting condition that means they’re not going to see adulthood, the pressure that puts on relationships.
“The people who work there have such big hearts. If you get a chance to visit, do as it’s a life-enhancing experience and it’s easy for Imelda and I to support its cause.”
