Naomi Oni, who was left scarred for life after the attack by Mary Konye, told BBC London 94.9 she has been living in a hostel.
Ms Oni, 22, said she had been living in the same room as her mother in a one bedroom hostel for the past year.
She said: “I’m tired of telling people how I feel then going back to a one-bed hostel with my Mum.”
It was revealed that she and her mother had applied to Southwark Council for assistance in finding a property.
Mary Konye, also 22, from Canning Town, was convicted of throwing acid into Ms Oni’s face on December 30, 2012. Last week she was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
The attack happened close to her home in Lodge Avenue in Dagenham as she returned from her job in Westfield Stratford City.
“Since that date’s happened, I’ve never had freedom,” Ms Oni told the BBC.
“I’ve never had privacy to just roll on the floor in my room and cry my heart out.
“I would just like to be in a secure home.”
