A free, arts-based "living room" for Newham where people are "valued, welcomed, and supported" will be launched next month.
The space is part of the Loved and Wanted programme, a London-wide initiative commissioned by the Mayor of London, and funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, and the Greater London Authority (GLA).
Rosetta Arts, based in West Ham, will be Newham’s 'Loved and Wanted' space and will offer creative activities, events, and support for the community.
The event on May 21 will include workshops, performances, exhibitions, and an official plaque unveiling by West Ham & Beckton MP James Asser.

Jan De Schynkel, CEO of Rosetta Arts, said: "Safe third spaces are disappearing – the vital environments where people from different backgrounds and religions can meet, learn, and grow. Newham is one of the most diverse and transient boroughs, and Rosetta Arts is proud to offer a safe community space and an exciting creative programme, created with our residents to empower and serve our local population."
The programme will officially launch with an evening of activities from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.
The Loved and Wanted initiative aims to bring people together, celebrate inclusion, and strengthen community connections through creativity and collaboration.
