A man in his 40s has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Manor Park.

Police were initially called to Romford Road with reports of an assault at around 3am on yesterday (December 11)

At the scene, the man was found to have suffered a stab wound.

He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening or changing injuries.

Police believe the reported assault occurred at around 2am the same day in Jack Cornwell Street.

There have been no arrests at this stage.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Around 3am on Thursday, December 11, officers attended Romford Road with the London Ambulance Service. A man, aged in his 40s, was treated for a stab wound.

"He was taken to hospital, where his condition was assessed as non-life-changing and non-life-threatening. It is believe the assault happened around 2am that day in Jack Cornwell Street, E12."
