A McDonald's in Beckton has reopened following refurbishment works. 

The restaurant in Gateway Retail Park officially reopened on April 2 after it was closed to be redesigned on January 8. 

The branch was closed as part of McDonald's Convenience of the Future restaurant revamp programme, which combines a new layout with new in-store technology to better the experience for customers.

Four areas in the Beckton McDonald's that the chain says have been improved include:

  • The removal of the front counter to limit congestion around touchscreens and create more space for diners

  • A dedicated area to courier services waiting for orders 

  • A new kitchen with a bigger order assembly area 

  • New break spaces and redesigned crew rooms to create breaks more comfortable
