A man has died after a crash near to the Gallions Reach Shopping Park.
The 18-year-old was taken to hospital with serious life-threatening injuries after reports of a crash in Royal Docks Road, Beckton on February 5.
The Metropolitan Police have now confirmed that the man died in hospital two days later on February 7.
Family members have identified the man as Haaris Usman.
At the time of the crash, two passengers in a white Seat Leon, including Haaris, were taken to hospital.
Emergency services were called to the area at 8.30pm to reports of a crash involving the Seat and a black Mercedes.
Both drivers, 22 and 24, were arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. They have since been bailed.
The Met released an appeal for witnesses or drivers with dash cam footage to get in contact.
