Thousands of disadvantaged children across Newham received gifts at Christmas thanks to the generosity of those who responded to a charity appeal.

Donations big and small came into the Kevin Jenkins OBE Newham Christmas Toy Appeal 2022, run by charity Ambition, Aspire, Achieve (AAA) in conjunction with the Recorder.

Gifts were dropped off to more than 3,300 families as a result.
