A BLOGGER whose website is alleged to have inspired the knife attack on East Ham MP Stephen Timms was in court on Wednesday (17/11) accused of soliciting murder.
Bilal Zaheer Ahmad, 23, from Wolverhampton, is charged under the Terrorism Act after identifying MPs who had voted for the Iraq war.
His blog allegedly influenced “self radicalised’ Roshonara Choudhry, 21 of Central Park Road, East Ham, to stab the former Treasury minister twice in the stomach at his constituency surgery in Beckton in May as “punishment” for his stance.
She was jailed for life after being convicted of attempted murder. She will serve at least 15 years behind bars.
Ahmad, at the Old Bailey, was remanded in custody until November 29.
