A man shot in Stratford this afternoon was attacked by a man on a pushbike.
Parts of Stratford have been sealed off after the shooting in the street this afternoon.
Police were called to Water Lane at around 3pm this afternoon.
It is understood the victim, believed to be in his twenties was walking along the street at the junction with Manbey Street when he was shot.
He has been taken to an East London Hospital for treatment. Police have taped off the area, and parts of Romford Road have been shut, while investigations are carried out.
Scotland Yard say he was shot by a man on a pedal cycle. He was approached by three men on cycles, it is understood.
