Thirty allotment plots will be included in Rathbone Market’s newest residential block.
Residents at Vermilion, the first part of the 180 million regeneration project, will be able to buy a plot for 150 a year.
They will be placed in the block’s eco garden. A landscaped water garden has been also created to take rainwater from properties and use it to feed its pond, plants and water features.
David Caught, from developers the English Cities Fund, said: “It’s very unusual for a residential scheme, just 10 minutes from Canary Wharf, to have on site allotments and large green spaces.”
