People in Stratford were left without power for four hours on Saturday night because of a fault on an underground cable.
The power cut, which affected around 50 customers in Abbey Lane from 7.30pm, also hit traffic and street lights in the area.
Repairs were completed by Sunday.
A UK Power Networks spokesman said: “Engineers worked as quickly and as safely as possible to solve the problem, with supplies restored at 11.28pm.
“We appreciate how difficult it can be to lose power and would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused.”
