A street party due to take place on Saturday will not feature a bouncy castle or face painting.
The event will now have a speed litter picking contest to encourage people to get inolved in keeping their neighbourhood clean.
Although it was originally planned as a party with a bouncy castle and face painting, the event in Colvin Road will now focus on attracting and recruiting residents to get involved in weekly litter picks with East Ham resident Path Prabha,
Refreshments and a Speed Litter Picking contest has been organised by charity CleanupUK. It wil take place from 10am to 2pm.
