A children’s story centre in Newham marked its tenth anniversary with a question and answer session with special guests.
Artistic director Jenny Sealey was invited to Discover Children’s Story Centre, Stratford, along with ‘Mr Gum’ best-selling author Andy Stanton and Arts Council chief Alan Davey to answer questions from eager children on Thursday, October 3.
The session was part of a week of birthday celebrations at the centre including a two-day family ‘birthday bash’ on October 5 and 6 with theatre makers, visual artists, musicians and ‘spoken word’ artists taking over the building.
The centre has reached a million youngsters through community and literacy projects and events in east London, inspiring children with a love of stories since 2003.
