Children and teachers at a nursery in Newham will be dressing up as their favourite fictional characters on March 6 to mark world book day.
Rebecca Cheetham Nursery and Children’s Centre in Stratford will be donning their costumes and putting on a parade for parents to watch.
The nursery will also be launching their Fathers Reading Every Day (FRED) campaign, a programme which they hope will encourage dads to interact in their children’s lives more.
Rohan Allen, 39, deputy head at the nursery said: “It will be great fun for everyone to dress up but the day will also give us a chance to talk to parents and encourage fathers to read to their children as part of a daily routine.”
