Newham Music is looking for singers for a 200-voice youth choir to perform at the East London Waterways Festival.

Young singers aged seven-18 are invited from all over London to join the Newham Music Canal choir for this unique performance opportunity in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, where they will develop their singing skills.

The festival, on Monday, August 28, will be held by the Canal & River Trust and will include family activities, food stalls and an outdoor film screening hosted by Nomad cinema.

Participation in the choir is free of charge and requires no experience.

Canal Choir director, Luke Spiers, said: “Singing is a great way of bringing people together and develop genuine friendships through song.”

Weekly rehearsals will take place every Saturday in August at Chobham Academy, Cheering Lane, Stratford.
