A 19-year-old man was shot in Upton Park last night, in what police believe was a group attack.
Officers and ambulance crews were called to the junction of Seymour Road and Cleves Road at about 8.30pm before the victim was rushed to hospital, where he is being treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his leg.
Detectives from Trident are investigating, but police believe the victim was shot by a number of suspects – the exact number is unknown – who then left the scene in a vehicle.
No arrests have been made as enquiries continue.
Officers are asking anyone with information to call them on 101, or to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
