10k new residents expected as Royal Wharf enters phase two

The Royal Wharf's second phase of development has 760 properties available.

The Oxley and Ballymore scheme could bring 10,000 residents to its townhouses, duplexes and apartments, with prices starting at £250,000.

The site will comprise 3,385 properties including shops, bars, restaurants, a school and a 14,000sq ft leisure facility.

Residents are expected by 2016, ahead of a 2020 finish.

The residential hub at the Royal Docks will be bordered by the park and riverfront and 45 per cent will be outdoor space.

Jenny Steen, head of sales at Ballymore, said the site is ideal for families.

“The 2.4-acre park and smaller pocket parks offer unbounded opportunities for outdoor living and children’s play areas,” she said.

Phase one saw 811 units sell out in days in March 2014.
