Docklands Drop In celebrated 30 years of service to the elderly and disabled in Newham last week, throwing an anniversary party in the Beckton Community Centre for all of its dedicated members.

The voluntary social meeting group has been organising arts and crafts, outings, food and sometimes simply tea and good conversation free of charge for older and disabled residents for three decades and the event showed that the Docklands community are stronger than ever.

The current members are pictured above with their prize creations which they created together during the weekly sessions.

Anyone over 50 is welcome to join the Docklands Drop In community, just visit Beckton Community Centre, Manor Way, East Ham every Wednesday from 12.30pm to 3pm.
