The family of 95-year-old Ada Johnson (nee Asher), who shared her memoir of Stratford in the 20s in the June 27 edition of the Recorder, are looking for those who remember her to get in contact.

Asher’s Shoes, the business Ada’s mother ran on Angel Lane right up until the early 70s, was a popular shop in the area and those who have moved away or lost contact are invite to get back in touch by emailing her son Ian Johnson at ianjohnson555@aol.co.uk.
