Newham Mayor Sir Robin Wales will be joining residents as the borough honours the war dead on Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday.
On Friday November 11 at 11am, Armistice Day will be marked at the cenotaph in Central Park, High Street South, East Ham.
On Remembrance Sunday, November 13, there will be a service in Central Park at 10.55am preceded by a parade from Newham Town Hall by the Royal British Legion at 10.35am.
Other services will be held at All Saints West Ham Parish Church, Church Street, West Ham, at 10.45am; St Luke’s Memorial, Tarling Road, Canning Town from 10.30am; St Mark’s Memorial, Factory Road, North Woolwich, at 10.55am, preceded by a Royal British Legion parade at 10.30am from Constance Street.
