A march, expected to go through Newham and Tower Hamlets, by the English Defence League on Saturday has been cancelled.
On its website, EDL has said it cancelled a demonstration in Woolwich on Armed Forces Day as there will be festivities in the area.
Leaders of the organisation still plan to carry out a ‘Walk of Honour’ from Westminster to Woolwich to lay wreaths where Lee Rigby died.
The march had originally been expected to go through several London boroughs including Newham and Tower Hamlets.
