Taking a leaf out her Majesty’s book, the residents of a Canning Town retirement home threw a garden party for their Diamond Jubilee.
Residents of Stanley Holloway Close, in Coolfin Road, sat outside in the unusually mild weather for a very traditional event.
Run by Anchor House, a charity in nearby Barking Road, there was plenty of bunting, hot food, and a singer performing all the old favourites throughout the afternoon.
Local supermarket Nisa also donated �1,000 to fund the party which was presented to Cllr Pat Holland.
