Budding artists can get their favourite images of Newham printed on a t-shirt and sold throughout the borough.
‘It’s a Newham Thing’, an art project pioneered by local artist Rayna Nadeem, is looking to expand beyond the touring exhibition, map, and interactive website and launch t-shirts so residents can literally wear their Newham pride on their sleeve.
Rayna said: “This competition has been launched to get more members of the community involved in the project, and it’s also a great way for the winner to get free exposure and publicity for their talented art work.”
Run by Newham NDP, designs will have to be inspired by and reflect the local area and winners’ creations will be printed on t-shirts will be sold in Newham and online via www.itsanewhamthing.com.
All entries should be emailed to Chi Gavhure at chi@newhamndp.co.uk by November 12.
